Team Identity
Team name: Hex Support
Our team is named hex support because a hexagon has 6 sides and there are 6 of us working together for a common goal. The support part of the name comes from us working together as a team of diverse individuals who bring their separate strengths to the group.
Team Roles
Capabilities of the group:
Tim Reid: Project leader, charismatic.
The team leader is expected to be organised, on the ball, in the know, maintains a friendly disposition, acts diplomatically, motivational, logical and in general a figure you feel comfortable coming up and talking to about anything involved with the group.
Fred Pace: Experienced supporter of the group.
When faced with a problem this person is expected to give their experienced insight into the situation and help produce suggestions for how to resolve any issues.
Kate Russell: Organised, diplomatic, secretarial.
This person is expected to keep the team organised and motivated.
James Glanville: “Mr Social”, Experienced with making and developing contacts with clients.
This person is expected to maintain a level of professionalism at all times when in contact with clients.
Kyle Grassi-Plenty: Experienced with technical equipment and advertising.
This person is expected to uphold any duties given to them, also to work at the best of their ability.
Jason Cooper: Experienced with technical equipment, friendly, outgoing, idealiser.
This person is expected to uphold any duties given to them, also to work at the best of their ability.
Mission Statement:
Our group wants to present a professional front that shows our clients that we are loyal and committed to our work. We are enthusiastic about our work and will uphold any obligations presented to us.
Project Concept:
The promotion and support of underground bands in Canberra and surrounding areas via website and promotional event.
Three Components
Website: Social networking site where music groups can post their band profile and also come together with other bands and discuss events and their ideas. Also an avenue for investors to view upcoming bands.
Events: This event will be a promotional event for the website, showcasing bands that are featured on the site.
Promotions: This will deal with the promotion of the website and the event, via posters, web updates and street fliers.
Team Boundaries:
The team will meet once a week after Project Management Class ( Tuesdays at 4:30) to discuss any issues and or parts of the project that are being undertaken.
Each group member has all other member’s contact details. The team will make a Facebook group page as well which will be exclusively for team members to send basic updates on their work .
If a member of a group is not performing at the level to which they are expected there will be a 3 strike system which will result in a 1st strike warning, a 2nd strike documentation of error and evaluation of whether they should be in the group and the 3rd strike will be instant dismissal from the group.
If a member of a group works to the best of their ability however makes a crucial error, they must inform the group immediately and be honest about their mistake and try and come up with a solution to resolve the error.
Team decisions are made on a voting system, however if a stalemate is reached the final decision rests in the hands of the Team leader.
Each team member is expected to keep a journal of all project management tasks and meetings. These journals must be available to all members of the team.
We the team named Hex Support agree with the statements in our charter and will try our best to uphold them.
